Lovely villa and very hospitable hosts...The village has all the basic amenities and Cafe Christina is very welcoming and serves great food and cakes! It is also open for dinner! Braga is well worth a visit too.
Fantastic holiday - will use you again. This villa has a wow factor that description doesn't really do justice to. Lots of classy touches and the best pool we have had on holiday. Maria and Antonio friendly and very helpful. Wifi works best if you move the portable router to the kitchen!
Fabulous home in a beautiful area. Hot, sunny days spent by the pool - retreating to the cool of the house when it got too hot! Bom Jesus definitely worth a visit. Our children counted 1050 steps up and back. Also the funicular up to Santa Luiz in Viana was a hit on market day. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.
Arrived as guests - left having made new friends. Thank you Maria, Antonio and family for making our holiday special.
As everyone says, a fabulous villa, wonderful pool and beautiful weather. Maria and Antonio very helpful - wonderful fruit & veg. Thank you.
This is a lovely house with a great pool in a beautiful part of the country. Thank you.
Casa Dos Fernandos exceeded our expectations. A wonderfully renovated property, would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit this area of Portugal. We had a fantastic week. Thank you Vintage Travel
This is a really great house - the photos undersell it!
We have had a most enjoyable fortnight at Casa dos Fernandos. Villa spacious and well appointed with beautifully kept gardens. Maria the owner very hospitable and helpful when we arrived. Pool a good size. An excellent base to explore this delightful part of Portugal. Porto an interesting city with much more than the all important Port production. Guimaraes, Braga & Barcelos all worth a visit although Barcelos we only really went to see the huge market held there. Moncao and Soage well worth going North to see even if just to experience the spectacular scenery on the N101 road. Vila Verde apperas to have the least expensive fuel in the region. Torres restaurant about 5-7 minutes drive is typically Portuguese and good value.
The property was amazing (the photos don't do it full justice!) and the owners were charming and helpful.
